12th edition International Criminal Law Defence Seminar Concludes Successfully

Turin, Italy -

The 12th edition of the International Criminal Law Defence Seminar has successfully concluded after four days of intensive training activities.

Jointly organized by UNICRI and the Office of Public Counsel for the Defence of the International Criminal Court (ICC-OPCD), the seminar was attended by current students from the Master in Laws (LL.M.) in Transnational Crime and Justice and 11 external participants.  

The event, which took place at the United Nations Campus in Turin from 25 to 28 March 2024, was led by Marie O’Leary, Counsel and Michael Herz, Legal Officer, both from the ICC-OPCD.

Through the training, students deepened their understanding of defence within the framework of International Criminal Law as well as all the key aspects related to International Criminal Defence.

The highly interactive and dynamic presentation of topics enabled participants to acquire practical skills for daily use in the practice of their careers.
