CONTACT Central Asia – Train-the-Trainers Session for Security and Law Enforcement Officers and Instructors in Uzbekistan

 

From 28 April to 2 May, the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) conducted the first Train-the-Trainers (TTT) session on countering radiological and nuclear (RN) trafficking for nuclear and radiological security stakeholders in Uzbekistan. The training took place in Tashkent and was hosted by the Customs Institute under the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Advancing Integrity in the Supply Chains of Critical Energy Transition Minerals


 

On 7 May 2025, UNICRI will participate in the partner-led session Advancing Integrity in the Supply Chains of Critical Energy Transition Minerals: An Evidence-Informed Policy Dialogue at the OECD Forum on Responsible Mineral Supply Chains, taking place at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris. The session will run from 11:00 to 12:30 in Room CC13 and will be held on-site only.

Youth Forum 2025: Side-Event on Understanding Harms in Online Gaming Spaces

 

On the margins of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum 2025, the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) held a side event entitled, “Press Start: Understanding Harms in Online Gaming Spaces”. The side event was organized in partnership with the Permanent Mission of Japan and the Permanent Mission of Singapore to the United Nations.
